British Wheelchair Sports Foundation
This £12m project involved the complete refurbishment of the existing Guttmann Sports Centre adjacent to Stoke Mandeville hospital in Aylesbury to provide a state of the art centre to act as the home of disabled and wheelchair sports in the UK.
Facilities include a 25m competition swimming pool, double size indoor sports hall, gyms, gymnastics centre, indoor bowls hall, athletes accommodation block, restaurant, lecture theatres, performance monitoring studios and an Olympic standard athletics track.
