The project was completed in 2002.

Completed in 2004, the new leisure centre provides a diverse range of facilities including a 25m competition swimming pool, a dance and aerobics studios, an Olympic standard gymnastics training hall, a family orientated leisure pool, café and general public areas, and a combined sports hall / concert venue building.

Smith Thomas Consult undertook full pre and post contract quantity surveying services on the project for Gloucester City Council.
