Lock Warehouse

Lock Warehouse sits in a prominent position at the northern end of the historic Gloucester docks.  A fantastic Grade II listed former Victorian grain warehouse has been converted into 8 one bed, 16 two bed and 2 two/three bed penthouse loft style apartments. The apartments retain original features including massive oak beams and cast iron pillars. Many elements of the existing building had to be replaced including the roof, steel framed windows and stone sills and lintels. As a result there was significant cooperation with heritage and conservation agencies.

These properties were completed in March 2013 for Client Melt Properties, with local Architect Roberts Limbrick acting as lead designer. Smith Thomas Consult provided Quantity Surveying and Employers Agent services.

The approximate project value was £2.0m.
